Metformin an anti-diabetic biguanidine drug has been introduced in the USA for treatment of type II diabetes. However several studies have shown that it can also aid non-diabetics in losing weight through regulating blood sugar levels. There are several reasons for being obese; one reason amongst them is insulin.
